Overview

The BOB Development team was on-site at SME’s headquarters located in Dearborn, MI for over 2 years. Our staff provided technical support for the SME Education Foundation (SMEEF) on 2 major projects.

Design and Manufacturing Integration Center (DMIC)

The DMIC provides a state-of-the-art facility to showcase advanced technologies related to process and product design. BOB Development Co. was contracted to oversee the cradle-to-grave implementation of this High-tech facility. Our diverse team of engineers, project managers, and system integrators were responsible for facilities construction, network infrastructure, software integration, machine tool integration, as well as demonstration of the working systems.

SME Education Foundation Grants Proposal

The foundation awards grants and scholarships and administers student outreach programs designed in partnership with corporations, foundation, educational institutions, and individual donors. Since 1998, the foundation has awarded more than $12 million in cash grants, scholarships, and special awards. BOB development co. developed a web application for the foundation staff to use to facilitate the processes related to: donations, grant application, grant review, grant award, and promotion. This application allows the foundation to save thousands of dollars in printing and mailing costs each year as well as greatly reducing the staff hours required to manage the process.
